BreakBite Successfully Managed a 5-Day Residential UN Women Workshop on Gender Equality in TVET

BreakBite is pleased to share a significant milestone in its journey of supporting inclusive development initiatives in Bangladesh. We recently served as the management partner for a 5-day residential workshop Event organized by UN Women under the ProGRESS Project, focusing on Gender Equality and Gender Mainstreaming in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.

About the Workshop

The residential workshop brought together BMET teachers and instructors from Technical Training Centers (TTCs) across Bangladesh. The objective was to strengthen institutional capacity to integrate gender equality into TVET systems—covering policy understanding, classroom practice, safeguarding, quality assurance, and action planning.

The program was designed and facilitated by UN Women’s technical experts, with contributions from senior officials of the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET). The five-day agenda combined conceptual sessions with practical tools, participatory discussions, mock facilitation, and institutional action planning.

BreakBite’s Role as Event Management Partner

As the management company, BreakBite was responsible for end-to-end event execution, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and high-quality delivery throughout the residential program. Our scope of work included:

  • Pre-event coordination with UN Women and government stakeholders
  • Venue selection and logistics management for a five-day residential program
  • Participant registration and accommodation coordination
  • Session-wise operational support (training hall setup, materials, time management)
  • On-ground event management, including coordination with facilitators and participants
  • Documentation and reporting support, including session tracking and inputs for the event report

Our team ensured that the workshop environment remained professional, inclusive, and conducive to learning, allowing facilitators and participants to focus fully on the program objectives.

Key Outcomes

  • Successful delivery of a five-day residential workshop without operational disruption
  • Strong participant engagement through interactive, participatory learning methods
  • Development of joint institutional action plans by participants to apply learning in their respective TTCs
  • Positive feedback from participants and stakeholders on logistics, coordination, and overall management

Commitment to Development Partnerships

This collaboration with UN Women marks an important step for BreakBite in expanding its work with international development organizations. With prior experience implementing large-scale capacity-building initiatives under global development programs, this assignment reinforces our ability to manage complex, multi-day residential events aligned with donor standards and government protocols.

BreakBite remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote gender equality, institutional capacity building, and sustainable system-level change in Bangladesh. We look forward to continued collaboration with UN agencies, development partners, and public institutions in future programs.
